Motorola Droid Smartphone Officially at Verizon

It is official! The Motorola Droid phone is available at Verizon today for $200 with a two-year contract. The Motorola Droid equipped with 3.7-inch touchscreen and Android 2.0 operating system. This OS is powerful for fast web surfing. The screen has a resolution of 480 x 854 pixel display.

The Droid is about 0.54 inch thick, a little bit thicker than the iPhone 3GS (0.48-inch thick). It has a 40-key, slide out QWERTY keypad. The QWERTY keypad is a bit flat and shallow, which may be harder to feel the buttons when typing. Also, the “End” and “Talk” keys are missing on the keypad (design error?). With a standard battery, the Motorola Droid weights about 6 ounces (iPhone 3GS is about 5 ounces). The dimensions are about 4.56 L x 2.36 W.

Elgato New Tiny Digital TV Tuner EyeTV DTT Deluxe

Elgato the maker of TV accessories just unveiled a tiny digital TV Tuner.  How small is small?  Well for comparison it is almost the same size a USB connector.  The EyeTV DTT Deluxe deliver digital TV (DTT or Freeview) reception, which can receive HDTV broadcast any where available.  These USB TV tuners are getting small by the minute.

Brother Creates Direct Retinal Imaging Display

Brother is just not interested in only printers these days.  It is quietly working on a retinal imaging display where you can view images or videos through a peep hole.  These high tech glasses let you view just about anything in compete privacy.  Buck Roger in the Twenty Fifth Century, here we come; space is the limit here (just use your imagination).  How does this work? Rebel EFI InstallerThe guys at Psystar are at their best work again, further enraging the Apple again.  This time Psystar may have a shot at the legal front.  The Rebel EFI Installer enable users to install any operating system into their computers provided that the computer has an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad, i7 or Xeon Nehalem processor.  Yes, any operating system, this including Snow Leopard.

Stancom Unveils Dual SIM Holder for Mobile Phones

dual sim holderThis is a little neat gizmo when you need two phone lines in one phone, like one business line and one personal line.  This way you don’t have to juggle two phones around like an idiot. The Swiss Company Stancom announces its latest invention, the Dual Sim Card was designed and developed with all the latest generation of semi-conductor. The thinness of the devise allows it to be inserted into all latest mobile phone generation such as Iphone, HTC, Nokia that have a very thin SIM slot.

RIM’s BlackBerry Watch inPulse or rePulse?

blackberry-watchRumor has it that RIM is working on a watch that has all the functions of a smartphone.  The watch is called the inPulse, which just updated from crackberry.com that it is not made by or for BlackBerry, but instead it is being made to link with information from BlackBerry Smartphones so you can get a quick glance over of your messages.
