Nikon has join the crowd like Panasonic, Olympus and Canon to produce afford mid range cameras that have HD video recording capability. Nikon introduced its first PMA camera, the Coolpix P100 with 26x superzoom. It’s a complete change of the P90. The new Coolpix P100 has a 26x optical zoom lens that is equivalent to the zoom of a f2.8-5 26-678mm. It boasted with a 10.3 megapixel CMOS sensor that is up to ISO 3200, which helps to improve in shooting speed and reduce noise in low-light pictures. It can also do a continuous burst at up to 10 frames per second at 10-MP size (3648 x2736).

Panasonic just announced the release of the Lumix DCM-FZ35 Camera by this September. It includes advanced features like HD video recording with the ability to capture photos and video as a point and shoot camera.
