It’s about time Shuttle came out of the woodworks. Shuttle announced the introduction of the XS35 nettop computer to use with your HDTV. The XS35 is a little mini computer which doesn’t make a loud noise or suck up on your energy bill. The XS35 nettop is very thin with just 3.3 cm thick. It packs a dual-core Intel Atom D510 processor at 1.6GHz and Ion2 graphics processor for streaming 3D and video playback.
Connectivity, it has a HDMI output to your HDTV, five USB ports, Ethernet slot, and a multi-format card reader. Best of all the Shuttle XS35 nettop has passive cooling so no whining noises when you try to watch a movie or surfing on the Internet. Other hardware includes a 2.5″ hard disk and an optical slimline drive.
The new Shuttle Barebone XS35 will be available in stores in the second quarter of 2010. The recommended retail price has not yet been fixed.
