Buffalo is introducing the first 12x Blu-ray burner on USB 3.0. You may not have 3.0 connectivity yet but you could add an add-0n PCI card to get this speed.
The BR-X1216U3 12x Blu-ray burner is also backward compatible to USB 2.0 at burn speed of 7x; you only get 12x burn speed when using USB 3.0. The BR-X1216U3 12x Blu-ray burner is already available in Japan for $450, and will come to the States when USB 3.0 is ready for prime time.
