BlackBerry Storm 2 Gets the Cold Treatment from Verizon

Update as of October 23, 2009: Looks like Verizon will be launching the BlackBerry Storm 2 after all. It was a publicity stunt that Verizon did to hype everyone up (another marketing strategy), which made it looks like that Verizon wasn’t going to carry the phone anymore. The BlackBerry Storm 2 will be scheduled for release on Wednesday, October 28th. Hooray, just in time for the holiday shopping. The Storm 2 will include a 16GB MicroSD card pre installed, that is Christmas present for ya from the Verizon’s Santa Clause. As far the pricing of the Storm 2 phone, here is a breakdown: 2-year contract: $280, 1-year contract: $350, and full retail: $540.

Not much much splash about the release of the BlackBerry Storm 2.  Verizon has issued a statement about a month ago that the first BlackBerry Storm didn’t  meet Verizon’s quality standard, no doubt about it.

The first BlackBerry Storm had so many software problems that it almost put the BlackBerry image on sub-category, but not only that it put Verizon support line on red alert.  This time Verizon is making sure that the BlackBerry Storm 2 will have no quirks before it release.

I don’t usually comment on blogs but had to on yours. You have a very distinctive writing style. A lot of people don’t have that touch, they just drone on and on in the most boring way. But not you – thanks! Thanks again!
