LG finally jump on the Android band wagon. It will introduce its first Android phone code named LG-GW620; lets hope LG doesn’t keep this name as a production model. The new LG-GW620 features a 3-inch full touchscreen and slide out QWERTY keypad. This is to meet demand for consumers who rely on their mobile phones for more than just making calls. The LG-GW620 benefits from an operating system that was created from the ground up to take advantage of the many mobile applications and services developed by search leader Google.
The LG-GW620 has a resistive touchscreen including a 5-megapixel camera with an LED flash, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The LG-GW620 will be available in the fourth quarter of this year in select European markets. The US market already has its large share with the iPhone and Android phone from T-mobile.
Saw the LG GW620f today at a Telecom New Zealand store at Albany Mall on the North Shore (Auckland). TNZ just released this phone in New Zealand two days ago (April 22, 2010). It’s no Nexus One, but it has a nice feel in your hand it would be a great phone. Android makes it even better…..despite being Android v1.5 out of the box. I was told it would be updated.
